Happy Holidays

Being busy these days, but I  wanted to try at least to do something to wish you happy holidays, and in case I won't be able to, happy New Year too :)

This girl is a design I made a while ago with some little changes. It was fun!

Hope you enjoy these festive days, have fun and get time to rest with your loved ones!!

Feeling nature

Something slightly different, but that comes from an old sketch I drew in my little sketchbook. I wanted to color it for years (yeah, YEARS XD).

A little busy these days trying to prepare... things which I will announce soon. Lets cross fingers so everything will turn out right in the end. Also getting things ready for a soon to be celebrated art market in my city.

Hope you are having a great week. See you!!

Unicorns in love

Last year, I made this drawing of two unicorns in love for a friends' wedding. With it, I ordered a stand as a present. This lovely couple love unicorns and music too, so I added musical notes to the base. It was really fun to design and to color, and to know it was part of their wedding made me the happiest girl in the world:

Happy one year anniversary!! (I am just two or three days late... sorry ><)

After a needed break from the internet and a short vacation here I am again (with a mild cold, nothing to worry about)!! Be happy and lots of love for you!!

Sailor

It's 21th in my country, so... Hello summer!! a little sailor birdy to say hello to this new season.

Here in Spain (where I live at least, in the south) summer is being a hell for sure. There is no way to survive to it. It's terrible and frustrating... specially when you know summer actually starts today... Will the future be even worse???

Really, take care of yourself during summer. Enjoy it carefully and have fun!!

Maiko

After a few weeks absent in general from social media I had to post something new (also to show I keep breathing... under this hot weather)

One of the things I love, for some years now, is learning about Japan's maiko and geisha culture. It can be with books, with the internet...

This is a personal interpretation of maiko (geisha apprentice) Satsuki (now a geiko/geisha, she is #1 in Kyoto), based on some photos I found around the internet of her during the hatsuyori celebration in 2014. She is my favourite geiko, and I loved this kimono she wore back then. Couldn't stop myself, I had to draw her!!

I know her kimono is not exact to the original, but I had to interpret some parts, especially with her kimono design and obi (sash), but I did my best and I drew everything with respect to this culture and to her. Sorry in case of mistakes!!

Hope you are having a nice time and enjoy what you love to do. See you soon!!

Barefoot

I really don't know what took me this long to post this illustration before. It's been in my computer for a long time, but... better late than never, right?

Really busy these days, but again, I am alive ;). I will try these days to post illustrations I did as commisions or that I totally forgot to show before. Little by little.

Hope you are having fun and a nice start of April, an important month for me!!

Flowery cat

Spring is here!! Or almost here, depending on where you live. If you are not allergic, congratulations, enjoy your time. For the rest I am deeply sorry :(

To celebrate spring, here is a little cat with a flower crown. This illustration was made as a pair with this one, just that the other one is a dog and with colder colors. To do both of them more or less at the same time was fun!!

Hope you have a nice start of the new season. Full of energy!!

Window and plants

I drew this watercolor of a window with plants a while ago (I wish I could keep plants alive like that... sadly not my thing!!). Spring is almost here!!

I am alive, just busy, and even if I don't post too much lately, I keep an eye on them, I promise.

By the way, last Saturday I participated with a friend in an art market here in my city and it was fun!! I loved to talk to foreigners either in English or French (my french is too oxidated, I need to practice it more!!) I was dead by the end of the day, but that's not a bad thing :). Thank you to thse who passed by!!

Hope you have a nice day!!

Stars and moon

Feeling a little down these days, so I drew this fast illustration yesterday to cheer me up!

I need to take some days off to clear my mind and go back to my old self with more energy. I'm sure I will get it, step by step. For now. I plan on doing whatever I want, the way I prefer. Just for a few days is OK (and maybe not a bad thing, I'm drawing more right now, for myself :)!!).

Hope you have a nice day and take care!!!

Plant

Watercolor I made last year of a plant. Really obsessed with nature and plants back then.

One of the things I wanted to do for this year was to draw with more traditional techniques, so these days I'm using watercolors a lot. Expect some illustrations with watercolors in the next weeks. I'm trying to practice with the newer ones I could get last year. Now I really want to get new paper, as I'm getting more used to color, but I have not as much experience with paper as I would like. Any recommendations?

Hope you are having a great day. See you!!!

Cordoba

At the end of 2016, I (among the other senior winners from Trampa Fanzine) got a call from a university newspaper to do an illustration for them about Cordoba's youth. Here is the Illustration I drew with that theme, and you can watch the rest here.

Young people, and maybe not so young ;), love to go out and to take a drink with some tapas and spending a while just talking with a friend about anything.  The weather here is really sunny (by the way, the sun I drew has the typical colors of Cordoba's Mezquita Catedral), in general, so bars with terraces are really loved to stop by to chat.

The words you can see above them, are some of the words typically used in this city, so if you are not from Cordoba maybe you don't know what they really mean, but it's not important, so don't worry!

Somthing a little different from what I usually do, but it was fun!

Hope the start of the year is starting the best way possible. In my case I have not much time, but I'm fine. See ou and let's keep going with energy!!
