Hanging a new start
An old simple pop up I made in my old Moleskine at the end of 2011. I thought I already posted it here... but I didn't. As it's Christmas-like, I thought it was the right time ;)
I designed this little tree-dressed girl. Every year, she takes her stairs and she puts up a new star that represents the year which is about to end, that's why it's written 2011 in the star she's holding. So, this time, she would "hang" 2013's star. A new year that is about to finish, and a new year that will be born soon!
Looking at this illustration, I got a lot of memories. It's been a long time, these years, from 2011 to 2013, passed away quickly. These years were I met a lot of people, and that helped me to know more about myself, and about people around me. I drew more, especially this year, and I don't plan to stop with it, if maybe to specialize more, and trying new things that will help me to improve and to keep learning. New year, new resolutions ;)
Horse year (chinese year) is about to start!! Bye bye Snake's year. You were, generally, a good one for me. Other than that, it was not a good year for people around me talking about health. I hope next one to be better in this aspect.
Happy new year 2014!! Be happy and goog luck!!

Step by step
Old sketch done in my Moleskine with gouache! I wanted to practice with thin layers back then. I don't know why my Moleskine accepts better thinner gauge than watercolor itself... I actually use almost the same amount of water for both techniques... what? I love the soft colors!
But I have good news!, so don't worry, this will be a happy post! This little girl just needs to practice a little more, step by step ;).
Tomorrow is party time!! I'm invited to a party celebrated by Sus Pasitos (here is their Facebook), you can know about it here (both in Spanish!). I'm collaborating with them with a present for the people there :). I was really happy when they proposed me to participate with them... thank you, I had lots of fun! You were really kind to me! My work is ready for tomorrow, I can't wait for tomorrow (even more after saying, "in the shade", a little of how it was being organized :)! I'm sure it will be perfect!!
So, have fun! I don't know if I will post something here tomorrow, so, see you!

Hiding time
Nothing new just that yesterday I almost finished another illustration, which really entertained me even if I had to do it almost twice... I can't deal with computers sometimes... but I'm glad that happened. I will show you this one in the future. Not that it's that strange, but I had fun with it :).
I will try to show you different things next week, meanwhile, have fun!!

Butterfly in a jar
Again another illustration from my Moleskine. I drew it almost at the same I drew this one. Also with gouache and rotring! Although I used a slightly different style with this one, but just a little ;)
I will post something written for tomorrow here in my blog, if all goes well. I also got some ideas for other posts, but I need "to research" before, and time to write them.
I have too many things to do for next month. The end of this one is being very busy, in different aspects.
So, see you tomorrow!!

Little kiss
Good morning kiss to the baby!
Illustration from my Moleskine done with gouache, I was surprised this watercolor paper would accept better thin gouache than watercolor itself... I just don't get it. Maybe I use too much water with watercolors...
This illustration makes me remember how kissy I was with my little sister when I was a kid (even now, but just a little less ;) ). Always a "good morning" kiss, an "I'm back home" kiss and a "good night" kiss; well, and some more in between.
Take a moment to give a kiss to those precious people.
