The Little Prince and the snake

"Whomever I touch, I send back to the earth from whence they came" the snake spoke again.

It's one of the things I have been working on lately. I got selected, among other illustrators, to participate in a really interesting project called "Invisible a Los Ojos", to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the creation of the famous book called "The Little Prince", written by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. More than 150 illustrators were chosen to illustrate one of the chapters of this famous children's book, with their own interpretation and style.

I got chapter number 17, where the Little Prince arrives for the first time to the Earth and ends up lost in a desert in Africa talking to a mysterious and powerful snake... I was really happy to participate illustrating my own Little Prince (and snake too!! I can't help feeling fond for this character, I don't see him as "bad guy", actually...), I had a lot of fun planning it, and I really tried my best with this one :). This book is being "following" me for a long time, so maybe it was time to do something special for it. Finally ;)!!

If you are curious, you can take a look, at the same time as you can read the whole book (Spanish only), at the web here. Also, my illustration can be found here. Don't hesitate to take a look to others's illustrations, they are really interesting and refreshing!!

But it looks like the journey is still not over... lets see what will happen ;). For now, more information on FaceBook!!
