Table fight

This boy is ready to fight against vegetables! No table manners, it's time to fight! That's what I want, some time to play carelessly and to have fun... but there're many things reminding me to keep working... ;)

It's one of the illustrations I've been playing with lately. I'm quite happy with these little tests (even if some of them turned out as finished works!) ! They changed my way to see or to create an illustration from zero, to play with my ideas... I want to keep experimenting with these and see where will they guide me, just like this little adventurer ;). It's time to keep growing and learning.

It's just one of the first tests. The rest will appear little my little, among the rest of my pending illustrations, here or in my Twitter, who knows.

For now, have fun and don't stress yourself too much!

My refuge

After some time, here is a new umbrella from my "umbrella series". An umbrella refuges you from rain, so it can be like a temporal "home", can't it be? More of them here, here, here and here.

Little by little I'm more comfortable with this little "refuge" I'm creating here... I think I'm growing thanks to it, at least that's what I see ;)

By the way, I noticed I got 300 likes in my Facebook Fan page! it was a surprise! I wrote there I wanted to do something as a "thank you". Do you have any idea? I would love to know what you think, and also, it doesn't have to be something only for FB, of course!!

Autumn steps

After a relaxed week (but not unproductive) I'm ready to keep going, stepping on autumn leafs and listening to its crunch ;)

This month is starting as one full of changes! I'm playing with my last illustrations a little, trying new things, and having a lot of fun, just like a little kid. I plan on reading a lot these next days, I want to learn new things... I feel very contemplative during autumn :)

What I love more about this season are leaves and their warm colors! I couldn't help to make an illustrations with them.

So, new changes are here! I didn't say anything before because I wanted it "to finish", but really soon I will take part as a judge in a drawing contest celebrated in my city! I was chosen for it months ago, but now that the time to participate in it is over, I think it's time to tell it to everyone about it!. Can't wait! I will do my best!

Developing the soul

This is the last watercolor I made.

It was for my talented friend Pilar Alcaro, who asked me to draw her a portrait with this technique, to represent her (or how I see her), but not too realistically. She asked me for a lot of color and to draw some photography objects on it (as she is photographed), in this case, a film roll and a simulated diaphragm at her chest. And freedom, she wanted me to draw it without restrictions.

I'm glad I decided to give it a try, something different once in a while is nice! So, I tried hard to talk about this wonderful and strong person with this watercolor, but I leave the interpretation of what every element means to you.

Spike and balloon

This little hedgehog is ready to go to the festival! Maybe he should be careful with his spikes! Or his balloons will explode really soon!! Although... aren't those more balloons inside that bag?.

I drew this illustration before I left for my holidays, when people used to go to festivals thanks to the warm weather. The weather is getting colder here as the days go by, but I wanted to show it here anyway.

So, these days I have been working a little with my blog. There're still many things I want to change... but little by little! At least I'm having fun with it :).

But! I can't be only working on it! I have been drawing a lot!. In case you didn't see my Twitter, I have been posting there some new illustrations there, so if you are curious, go check them here! Though not only final illustrations! I'm also showing from time to time some "wips" of future illustrations I'm working on at the moment :)

Spongy waters

Not too much time left to swim before summer comes to an end, so better to go for it it before the weather gets cooler!.

When you look at the sky, and it's full of clouds... don't you feel like swimming in them? That's the idea I got to draw this illustration, and as summer's end is close... I thought it was the right moment :)

Last week I finally got back from my vacations! It was really fun and I got a lot of energy to start some things I left planned before them! One of those things is a new look for my blog!! I wanted to change it for a long time, so I left a draft of it and these last days I have been working on it! There're still things which I want to change, though the fact that I tried to decorate the blog by myself is a big achievement for me :)
